THE EARLY NOVEMBER

THE EARLY NOVEMBER

The members of the Early November were young enough to have grown up with the Drive-Thru Records sound, a formula that incorporated sensitive emo, pop, and punk revivalist amalgams with a bit of post-hardcore grit. The band first emerged in 2000, fighting to secure shows in their busy South Jersey scene while hoping to land a deal with Drive-Thru. By 2002, they succeeded when label figureheads Richard and Stefanie Reines signed vocalist/guitarist “Ace” (Arthur) Enders, bassist Sergio Anello, drummer Jeff Kummer, and guitarist Joseph Marro on the strengths of their demo and solid buzz. They made their label debut with the For All of This EP later that year. Promising appearances on the Warped Tour’s Drive-Thru stage that summer spread the word, and by late 2003 the band’s full-length debut, Room’s Too Cold, was released.

THE MOVIELIFE

Don’t call it a comeback because reunion records rarely sound as inspired as The Movielife’s first full-length in 14 years, Cities In Search Of A Heart. This is an album that shows how the group’s songwriters—vocalist Vinnie Caruana and guitarist Brandon Reilly—have grown since 2003’s celebrated full-length Forty Hour Train Back To Penn, and also contains some of their most energized songwriting to date. In other words, whether you’ve loved The Movielife since they were a scrappy Long Island hardcore band in the early 2000s or you’re a recent initiate, it’s difficult not to get caught up in kinetic frenzy that permeates every note of Cities In Search Of A Heart.

HEART ATTACK MAN

HEART ATTACK MAN

From Cleveland, OH Heart Attack Man originally started as a solo recording project for singer/guitarist Eric Egan in 2013. Driven by an engrained appreciation for addictive melodies and hard hitting alternative rock, the project quickly evolved into a full band. Shortly after the EP Acid Rain was released to an overwhelmingly positive response and the band hit the road throughout the US and Canada. In 2015 the band headed to Philadelphia to record their debut full length at Headroom Studios with Ian Farmer (Modern Baseball).
